This is a video tutorial by jimmyR.com and this tutorial I will be teaching you how to get audio from any video you want. On You Tube Google video or music.yahoo.com so if you heard and listening to a music video online and you want to record just the audio I will be showing you how to do that. The first thing I am going to do is find a music video; I can search the cannon in d guy, the really famous dude that has audio here. I can search—I am going to search for link in tetris because I know you think I am crazy but I like those people that play tetris on piano. I think it is really funny sounding. This tricks just some Asian, this dude is fairly good at playing this songs so I want to record this kind, I am going to save the audio. So how do I save the audio? Well, setting up. The first thing I need to do is I need to be able to record from my computer speakers, record with the computers playing basically instead of recording it in my microphone. What I want you to do is go to the bottom right icon I will go and watch scroll middle thing you there maybe you can see it. I want you to click this icon, if you do not have a volume icon just go have click this if you still do not see, I am going to show you a few steps to get it. I want you to go to start, settings control panel and I want you to scroll down top sounds and audio. And here you can check little boxes it says place volume icon in task bar. By clicking in advance will open it anyway. So where you need to be okay, so now I have thing and as you can see there is no band that says enable for recording from computer speakers or anything. Not even the microphone but I want you to go to option, properties and if recording is enabled, I want you to click recording. I want you to switch it if it is not and switch the mixer device and then I want you to check stereo index and click okay. So now we have stereo index options. As you can see here we have the microphone and we do have something called stereo mix which is what I wanted you to see. Stereo mix is actually the thing that records from your computer speakers so enabling it will cut my mic and start recording from the sounds the computer produces. And it did not have to be the video. It can be any IM, any sound playing in the background. So any sound at your computer is generating recorded with stereo mix. Now I need a sound recorder, now that a lot of people know about stereo mix so I just go to start run, I am going to type sndrec32. So it is sndrec32, I click okay and it opens my sound recorded. This is a built in window set comes with your windows computer. So now I can record and that is what is what I am about to do but keep in mind that is going to cut my mic so I am not going to say anything for a while. But here are the steps; I am going to enable stereo mix. I am going to record from the sound recorder and then I am going to click play on this video. Okay, her we go. Demonstration Okay I got my mic back, but as you can see the sound recorder record in while it is being played. And I can scroll back and I can play back to you so I can see the sound call has not diminished any. Demonstration Isn’t that nice? It captured it perfectly so now I just go to file save and it allows me to save as a WAV file. Let us see on limitation of sound recorder, it asks you to save as WAV so you would not be getting it in MP3 format and you cannot convert unless you use another program. So if you want to convert it to MP3 I recommend you search download audacity and do not get the bada or you can search download gold wave. Gold wave says it cost 50 box or something but it is not true you can download it, you can save it and it gives you 150 uses like different filters and edits you can apply. Before it starts nagging you about registering so just go in the file save as it will never nag you for converting a WAV files into wave. Audacity is completely free; it is open source so you can see the source and all that stuff. It is really nice to wave up. So this been is tutorial by jimmyR.com. Be sure to record your favorite sounds and you an even record your friends video and then when they call you on the phone you can play back something they said so they can get freak out or something. Anyway, this is fun stuff you can do; you can remix music or whatever. Again this is been a tutorial by jimmyR.com hope you like it.

How to create a soundtrack for a video that we record from the desktop

Video Transcription

Hello, today we will see how to edit audio to a video between recorded from our desktop. First, we will record the video from our desktop using CamStudio software, like I have explained in the previous video. We will open CamStudio and when recording the video you can choose to record audio along using the microphone for your own voice or the speakers for recording what the computer plays. Before doing this you choose this option from the menu like that. You can choose to record audio from speakers or from microphone. If like on my laptop your computer is too slow to record the audio along with the video you can record only the video and add the sound later. To record only the sound use a sound recorder which is provided along with windows, you can open it from the accessories menu from the entertainment submenu. You just hit the record button, record the message you want to. Record, and then you press stop. After that you just do the following to save the file to disc then you have a wav file which holds the audio. Now you can stop the video recording and add the sound to the video using Windows Movie Maker which is also provided along with windows. When we open the movie maker, it looks like that and with the video file and the sound file onto the right upper panel just like that then drag the video file down to the place for the video which is right here and then the sound file to the place of the sound, which is right here. This is all you need to do. After that you just create the merged file using the file menu and then just ask the movie maker to render the final file for us using this simple Wizard. It takes a few seconds, maybe a little more if it is a long video and Walla, here is our final file ready to play.
